Established in May of 2005, Surgical Specialty Hospital of Arizona (SSHAZ) is the first licensed surgical specialty facility of its kind in the State. Our surgical suites are fully equipped with state of the art technology that allows for us to provide both outpatient surgeries as well as elective inpatient surgeries. Our scope of surgeries includes, but is not limited to, spine, orthopedic, bariatric, general and GI surgery. SSHAZ is also one of the first hospitals in the state to offer Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF) for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux which allows for incisionless reconstructive surgical treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
